
Jin Honglei, Ph.D., Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor, has achieved recognition as a recipient of the "National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars" and a participant in the "Guangdong Special Support Program" for outstanding young talents in technological innovation. Currently serving as the director of the Institute of Medicinal Plant Physiology and Ecology at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, he also holds the position of Vice Chairman at the Guangdong Plant Physiology Society. Additionally, Jin Honglei is an editorial board member for journals such as Advanced Biotechnology and New Crops. His primary research and teaching areas revolve around plant chloroplast biology and medicinal plant biotechnology. Over the past few years, he has published numerous research papers as the first or corresponding author in renowned international academic journals such asNature Communications, PNAS, Cell Reports, Plant Cell, Plant Physiology, Plant Journal,andJIPB. His research has been recommended by F1000, featured asjournals highlighted or hot-topic articles, and reported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China as "Fund news" and “Fund Achievement Express". Jin Honglei has led4National Natural Science Foundation projects,4provincial and ministerial-level projects, and participated in1national major project. His contributions to research have earned him the second prize in Natural Science of Guangdong Province.
