
Wang Caiyan, aprofessorand doctoral supervisor at the International Institute for Translational ChineseMedicine in the School of Chinese Materia Medica at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, is the winner of the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars and holds the title of "Young Pearl River Scholar." She is considered areserveleaderof Chinesemateriamedicadiscipline. Specializing in the structural pharmacology of anti-inflammatory components in traditional Chinesemateriamedica, Wang Caiyan focuses on the validation and mechanistic analysis of the target points of phenylpropanoids in traditional Chinese medicine. As the first or corresponding (including co-author) author, she has published 28 research papers on structural pharmacologyof active ingredients inChinesemateriamedicain reputable journals such asScience Advances, Nucleic Acids Research, Theranostics,andActa Pharmacologica Sinica. Among these, she has served as the corresponding author for 20 papers. Wang Caiyan has secured funding from the National Natural Science Foundation, including general and youth projects, as well as grants from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education and the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology for a total of nine projects. In addition to her research endeavors, Wang Caiyan actively contributes to teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, instructing courses such asPharmacology,DrugToxicology,Structural BiologyandModern Pharmaceutical Research, andPharmaceuticalMonograph. She has also participated in the compilation of the14th Five-Year Planteaching materials for the subject ofDrugToxicology.
