Xian Shaoxiang,male, born September 1962in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, Doctoral Supervisor and Postdoctoral Co-Supervisor, is asecond gradeprofessor at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. Enjoying such titles as “DistinguishedTCM Practitioner” and Leading Medical Talent in Guangdong Province, “Qihuang Scholar” and Distinguished Professor under the Pearl River Scholar program, Xian is a mentor in the National Program"Inheritance of Academic Experienceof National Veteran TCM Experts", as well as a mentor of the “Guangdong ProvincialDistinguishedTCMPractitionerApprenticeshipProject”, while at the same time acknowledged as a National Outstanding Worker in the Management of Medical Services at TCM Hospitals and a National Outstanding Hospital President, enjoying the State CouncilSpecial Allowance. Currently theDeanof the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (the FirstSchool ofClinicalMedicine) and the Director of the Guangdong Clinical Research InstituteforTCM , Xian also holds concurrent positions as the leader of the national key discipline in TCM internal medicine, the academic leader of the key specialty in cardiovascular internal medicine of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NATCM), and the head of the National TCM Clinical Research Base for Heart Failure.
