
Lin Dingkun, Chief Physician, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Postdoctoral Co-Supervisor, “Qihuang Scholar”, is recognized as a “Guangdong Provincial DistinguishedTCM Practitioner”. A leading expert in the professional field of TCM Orthopedics under the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NATCM), Lin holds leadership positions at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, including Head of the TCM Orthopedics Discipline and Program Director of TCM Orthopedics. Director of the Orthopedics Department at Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine, and Principal Investigator (PI) of the Spinal Degenerative Disease Research Team at the Guangdong Branch of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.Lin is primarily engaged in the clinical, basic, and mechanobiological research on the prevention and treatment of chronic musculoskeletal disorders via TCM approaches. Lin serves globally as the Executive Chairman of the World Union of Manual Medicine, Deputy Director of the Orthopedics Committee and Director of Spine Expert Committee in the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, Standing Committee Member of the TCM Orthopedics Branch of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, Deputy Director of the Geriatric Orthopedics Committee of the China Gerontology and GeriatricsAssociation, Deputy Director of the Orthopedics Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association, and Honorary Director of the Orthopedics Committee of the Guangdong Association ofChineseIntegrative Medicine. Lin has led 13 national-level projects among many others at various levels, and published 68 papers, including 28 SCI-indexed articles with a total impact factor of 104.38, the highest single article impact factor being 8.322. Additionally, Lin has been awarded a Second PrizeofNational Science and Technology ProgressAwardand a First Prize by the China Association of Chinese Medicine, and has been honored with titles such as "Good Doctor of Guangdong Province" (2017) and "Good Person of Guangdong Province" (2021). Serving as a "Central Health Consultation Expert" for the 5th and 6th sessions of the Central Health Care Committee, Lin was recognized as an "Outstanding Individual in Central Health Care Work" in 2021.
