
Lu Chuanjian is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. She serves as the vice President of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine). Additionally, she is leader of the National TCM Inheritance and Innovation Team, a Qihuang Scholar, and deputy Director of theStateKey Laboratory ofDampnessSyndromeof Chinese Medicine(jointly established by the province and the ministry). Lu Chuanjian also holds the position of director of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Joint Laboratory for Traditional Chinese Medicine and Immunological Disease Research.
Her main focus is on the treatment of refractory immune diseases, particularly psoriasis, by using TCM. Lu Chuanjian has achieved remarkable successes, earning the first prize in Science and Technology ProgressAwardof Guangdong province. From 2013 to 2022,in terms of the influence of academic papers in the field of skin diseases, she has been listed among the top ten scholars nationwide, the first in the realm of TCM.
Lu Chuanjian is actively involved in academic organizations and currently serves as the director of the Immunology Branch of China Association of Chinese Medicine. She has received numerous honors, including recognition as a Young Expert with Outstanding Contributions to Health and Family Planning at the National Level. She is also amentorfor the7th batch ofprogram"Inheritance of the Academic Experience of National Veteran TCM Experts"and has been awarded titles such as National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker, Guangdong Science and Technology Award (Ding Ying Science and Technology Award),Guangdong Leading Medical Talent,Guangdong Provincial DistinguishedTCM Practitioner, and Distinguished Teacher of the "Guangdong Special Support Program."
Lu Chuanjian has undertaken significant research projects, among which 9 are at the national level, including Major Special Projects in the TCM Industry, National Scientific and Technological Support Program, and key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation; 20 are at the provincial level, including Guangdong Key R&D Plan. She has authored 45 monographs, published 267 research papers (including 136 in SCI-indexed journals), and obtained 20 Chinese invention patents and 2 international invention patents in Australia and Europe. Lu Chuanjian has also been granted clinical approval for 2 new TCM drugs by the National Medical Products Administration and has achieved successful technology transfers in 3 projects. Additionally, she has been involved in the formulation of 16 standard guidelines.
