Ouyang Huiqingwas born in July 1939 in Shunde, Guangdong province. She is one ofthe1stbatch of National Distinguished TCM Practitioners, a recipient of the title"GuangdongProvincial Distinguished TCM Practitioner",a professor,a doctoralsupervisor,a mentor for the programs"Inheritance of the Academic Experienceof National VeteranTCM Experts"and"GuangdongProvincialDistinguishedTCMPractitionerApprenticeship Project", asecond-generation leader in the field of gynecology, and the first postdoctoralcollaborativesupervisor inthediscipline.She was awardedthe titles"Good Doctor of Yangcheng" in 2016 and "Renowned Doctor of Yangcheng" in 2017. In 2018, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine established the "Ouyang Huiqing NationalDistinguishedTCM PractitionerInheritance Studio."In the early stages of her career, she combined the therapyof tonifying the kidneyandpromoting blood circulationwith the Chinese medicine menstruation regulation therapy.She practiced theunique methodsof TCM syndrome differentiation and disease diagnosis,focusing on thechanges in patients' symptoms and psychology.Additionally, sheincorporated the use of medicine and food in Lingnan medicine, considering the regional andconstitutional characteristics of Lingnan,using a multi-dimensionalapproach to addresschallengingcases of infertility and endometrosis-related diseases.With the support of Prof.Luo Yuankai, she establishedagynecologylaboratory in 1984,making itthe firstof its kindin TCMcolleges and universitiesacross the country. This laid the foundation for the experimental platform of TCM gynecology and guided the development of the discipline to a new level.
