Lin Yiis one of the 4thbatch of National TCM Masters, a recipient of the title"TCM Master of Gui School", a chiefphysician anda chiefsupervisor at Guangdong Provincial Hospital ofChinese Medicine, an academic leaderin thekeyspecialtiesof the National Health Commission and theNationalAdministration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and an honorary professorat the University of Hong Kong.She has served as thechairmanof theBreast DiseaseProfessional Committeeof the China Association of Chinese Medicine,andsheis currently thehonorarychairmanof theBreast DiseaseBranchof the China Association of Chinese Medicineand a consultant for the first council of Breast DiseaseProfessional Committeeof the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies.She was awarded the title of"National Advanced Health Worker"twice,received a "governmentspecial allowance" from the State Councilin 1993, and was recognized as a mentor for the program"Inheritance of the Academic Experienceof National VeteranTCM Experts".Shewas honored with the"Li Shizhen Pharmaceutical Innovation Award",the"Outstanding ContributiontoAcademic Development ofTCMBreast Disease Award", and "The Most BeautifulTCMDoctor in the Country" from the China Association of Chinese Medicine.Lin Yi has long been engaged in the teaching and research ofbreast diseasein traditional Chinese medicine and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.She established the first TCMbreast diseasespecialty in China and proposedthat"identifying diseasesas the foundation,distinguishing syndromes as the principle, combiningdisease and syndrome, and treatingboth symptoms and root causes"should bethe clinical guiding ideology of TCM. She is known as thefounder and pioneerof modern TCMbreast disease discipline.Shehas won 2 national invention patents, edited 7 academic monographs, participated in editing more than 10 monographs, and publishedover100 papers. Among them, "The Modern Chinese Medicine Breast Disease",afoundationalwork inmodern TCM breast disease discipline,has been citedover1,200 times. As thefirst-rankedcontributor, she wonseveralprovincial and ministerialawards inscience and technology, including theSecondPrize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award in 2020 and theSecondPrize of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award in 2019. She developed 15typesof pure traditional Chinese medicine preparations and invented the innovative traditional Chinese medicine drug "Jinrong Granules,"which received a new drug certificate in China in 2018.Itis the first domestically developed traditional Chinese medicine innovation drug held by a research and development institution, and alsothe first traditional Chinese medicine to pass evaluationsbased onboth Chinese and Western standards, as per the U.S. FDA standards.
