From May 30 to 31, a delegation of 14 members from the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine visited our university. The delegation was received by Guo Hong, a member of the university's Party Committee and Vice President.

Guo Hong extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. He highlighted that Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, originating from the Guangdong School of Traditional Chinese Medicine established in 1924, pioneered modern education in traditional Chinese medicine. Over its century-long history, the university has accumulated a profound cultural heritage and rich resources in medical education and research, and it is committed to promoting traditional Chinese medicine globally. Guo Hong expressed the university's eagerness to engage in high-level exchanges and cooperation with the Alberta College to jointly cultivate traditional Chinese medicine talents with an international perspective.

Delegation Sharing Experiences in Learning Traditional Chinese Medicine
Xu Bentong, the founder and executive director of the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, introduced the college's basic situation and the current state of traditional Chinese medicine development in Canada. Vice President Colton Oswald and other faculty and students shared their experiences of studying traditional Chinese medicine overseas.

The delegation visited the Guangdong Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the First Affiliated Hospital, and the Second Affiliated Hospital (Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine).
Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine has long-standing cooperative relationships with the Canadian traditional Chinese medicine community. The university has signed cooperation agreements with multiple Canadian institutions, including Simon Fraser University, the University of British Columbia, Humber College, and York University, covering education, research, and cultural exchange. The Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, established in 1997, is the first acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine school in Alberta, Canada, and is recognized in Canada, China, and the United States. It includes the Canada Hua Tuo Institute of Chinese Medicine, traditional Chinese medicine clinics, and the Alberta Hua Tuo Health Association.
