On the morning of June 26th, the founding ceremony of the Yunfu alumni association (contact office) of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (GZUCM) was held in Yunfu. Chen Wenfeng, Party Secretary of the university, Gao Xiaoshi, Party Secretary and Director of Yunfu Municipal Health Bureau, Ye Gaoli, Senior Researcher, Lin Bingsheng, Yunfu Education Bureau and Senior Researcher, officials from Yunfu City Hospital, Xinxing County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicinen (TCM), Yunfu alumni, and officials from relevant departments of the university attended the meeting. Vice President Wang Hongbin chaired the founding ceremony.
Chen Wenfeng warmly congratulated the establishment of the Yunfu alumni association (contact office) of GZUCM and expressed sincere thanks to the Yunfu Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government, Yunfu Municipal Health Bureau, and Yunfu City Hospital for their care and support towards Yunfu alumni. He reviewed the century-long history and profound cultural heritage of GZUCM as an institution committed to nurturing top-notch talents in TCM. He briefly introduced the achievements of the university in recent years in the "Double First-Class" and high-level university construction, now recognized as a key university in national "Double First-Class" construction and Guangdong high-level university development.
Chen Wenfeng emphasized that GZUCM, originating from Guangdong Medical College of Traditional Chinese Medicine established in 1924, has never interrupted its century-long mission of educating and contributing to the nation and the people. Generations of GZUCM graduates have rooted themselves in Yunfu, dedicating their youth to safeguarding public health, developing the biopharmaceutical industry, and promoting the development of TCM. The university has deep roots and a cooperative foundation with Yunfu, actively supporting the establishment of Guangdong Yunfu Vocational College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, thereby empowering Yunfu in high-quality talent cultivation and scientific research. He hoped that the Yunfu alumni association (contact office) of GZUCM would further strengthen the connection between the alma mater, alumni, and Yunfu, jointly promoting high-quality development of TCM. He encouraged alumni to inherit and promote the university's noble tradition and spirit of revitalizing TCM for the country and the people, maintaining a spirit of hard work and making contributions to the high-level development of the TCM industry. He warmly welcomed Yunfu alumni to visit frequently, especially during the centennial celebration of the university, to witness the hundred-year anniversary and contribute more to advancing modernization and global development of TCM.

The meeting introduced the preparation process of the Yunfu alumni association (contact office) of GZUCM, announced the list of board members, and issued appointment letters.
The Alumni Association (Education Development Foundation) and the Party Committee's Student Affairs Department respectively introduced the century-old history of GZUCM and the situation of enterprise visits and employment. Alumni representatives shared their experiences and insights in the field of TCM, expressing their expectations and suggestions for the work of the association.
