Second Editorial Board Meeting of the "Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine Oncology" Edited by National Medical Master Professor Zhou Daihan was held

On June 17, to promote academic thought, exchange clinical experiences, and contribute to the high-quality development of the "Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine Oncology," the second editorial board meeting of the journal, organized by the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, was held in Guangzhou. The meeting was attended by National Medical Master Professor Zhou Daihan, University Party Secretary Chen Wenfeng, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine Liu Tao, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Radio and Television Bureau Zhong Qingcai, Vice President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine Huang Shaogang, and experts and scholars in the field of traditional Chinese medicine oncology from across the country. The editorial board meeting was chaired by Deng Yan, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine Oncology.

"Traditional Chinese Medicine Oncology has become an important support and component of the primary discipline of traditional Chinese medicine, contributing significantly to the construction and development of the discipline and promoting the building of high-level and double first-class universities," stated Chen Wenfeng in his speech. He emphasized that academic journals are crucial carriers for disseminating research results, inspiring knowledge innovation, leading intellectual discussions, and promoting scientific and technological progress. As the supervising unit of the journal, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine will continue to support the First Affiliated Hospital and the publication of the "Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine Oncology."

"Traditional Chinese medicine treatment for tumors holds great promise in current tumor prevention and treatment," said Liu Tao in his speech. He highlighted that the "Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine Oncology," first published in 2019 and approved by the National Press and Publication Administration, is the first academic journal specializing in tumor studies within the traditional Chinese medicine discipline. This aligns with the development requirements of traditional Chinese medicine oncology and reflects the high importance the central government places on inheriting and developing the excellent traditional Chinese medicine culture. Liu Tao expressed confidence that under the supervision of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, with the support of the First Affiliated Hospital and led by Editor-in-Chief National Medical Master Professor Zhou Daihan, the journal will continue to leverage its advantages, integrate resources from various academic schools of traditional Chinese medicine oncology, and create an exemplary scientific journal.

Professor Zhou Daihan led an academic discussion on "Drawing the Blueprint for the Journal's Development," where attending experts actively contributed their suggestions and discussed the development trends and future plans for the journal. They provided innovative and forward-looking insights and suggestions from multiple angles, including discipline development, research hotspots, improvement goals, and journal management methods, offering valuable materials and references for the journal's future construction work.
