On January 28, Chen Wenfeng, Secretary of the CPC GZUCM Committee, led a team to Fogang County, Qingyuan City to carry out the research work of the “Double Hundred Action”.
In order to implement the “1310” strategic deployment of the Provincial CPC Committee, and continue to promote the “High-quality Development Project of Hundreds of Counties, Thousands of Towns and Thousands of Villages” assisted by the co-work of hundreds of universities and hundreds of counties in Guangdong Province, the research team held a symposium in Shuitou Town, Fogang County, to learn more about the work effectiveness of Shuitou Town in rural industry, rural construction and rural governance.
Chen Wenfeng expressed his gratitude to the Fogang County CPC Committee and the county government for their strong support for the university to carry out the “Double Hundred Action”. He pointed out that the university will continue to implement the “Double Hundred Action” in accordance with the principle of “what the county needs, what the university does”, gather the university’s talent, science and technology and intelligence-intensive advantages, work in pairs to promote the high-quality development of rural revitalization, and create a model project of the “Double Hundred Action”. He emphasized that the county-based service team and the group-type assistance expert team should have the courage to take responsibility and take the initiative, based on the unique advantages of traditional Chinese medicine, boldly explore a new model of university-local cooperation, actively coordinate and gather resources from all parties, seek well-being for the local people, and contribute to the realization of the Healthy China strategy and the “1310” deployment of the Provincial CPC Committee.
The research team successively inspected Yaowanggu Ecological Health and Wellness Resort Center in Fogang County, Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Exhibition Hall, Health Center, and Konjac Industry-University-Research Innovation Center in Shuitou Town, visited and extended greetings to the members of the service team in Fogang County and the experts of the assistant team stationed in the town health center, as well as low-income families in Xitian Village, Tongxi Village, Shitan Village, Guiyuan Village, and Xinlian Village.
